Saturday 20/07/2013Satisfaction when issues are sorted, and when things move forward. You are the engine that propels the project forward, and not a postman, as people usually refer to.
Jude Ozenua Monday 20/05/2013The percularities and dynamism, the uncertainties and adaptability that comes with different projects - from initiation to close-out.
JC Savornin Wednesday 15/05/2013Each day is different, just as each project is different. This diversity is what I like most. Add to this: international and people. It means I always have to be humble and discover a new culture each time I face it to make sure the project will be successful. As others already stated, it is a continuous learning process on all aspects: communication, technics, culture, law, ....
After all, the project manager is the one who knows he does not know, and therefore he needs to ask to expert.

Friday 10/05/2013One thing I like about my job as Project Controls Manager is my role to consistenly remind people about the completion targets for the job they're performing so that our combined Project goals are achieved. I find that my role facilitates integration of team efforts to achieve Project cost and time targets.

Wednesday 08/05/2013Projects have schedule completion date. When you reached the situation that you don't like someone within the projects task force, you or someone else you don't like or having personal friction could have reached a project mililestone that either one of you can be demob and move on to another project, not necessary another company. Hence the impact due to office politic is much less in working in a projecst than working in an office whereby you are facing the same group of people most of the time all year round unless you change company every 1 to 2 years.

Wednesday 08/05/2013I have worked on and continue to work a variety of process control and optimization related projects. I not only have to manage but also have to do signficant amout of the technical work in majority of these projects. In all the project activities, I have benefited extensively from a highly skilled, experienced and dedicated project team.
What I most like about my job is that as a process control expert, I get to use the most sophisticated process modeling, control and optimization technolgies to solve mission critical plant process control and optimization problems.
When I have some time, I will jot down my experiences in your blog.
Many Thanks
Moataz

Friday 03/05/2013I love the whole journey of the project from concept phase to the delivery but I love Detail engineering & commissioning most. The whole jouney is full of adventure & opportunities to learn, understand and implement your experince & finally the satisfaction you get by delivering the end product to the client. When u see a master piece of engineering started working whether it is a LNG terminal,Fixed platform, FPSO or a LNG ship u will automatically proud on yourself to think u were the part of the team of that project.
Asim Ali Thursday 02/05/2013Thanks Herve' for giving us opportunity to share our experience. I love versatility in project sites. Mostly people love station jobs and they have many reasons to be satisfied I am totally agreed with them.
Project life is variety of jobs. I like this variety. I get bored if I have to do same things again and again. In simple form
Variety = Rapid Learning in short team
Glen Murphy Thursday 02/05/2013I love the fact that each day presents new and interesting challenges to solve and the overall sense of accomplishment when a project is successfully completed. Personally I still have a lot of pride in knowing that a construction project I helped manage is successfully operating years after completion.

Tuesday 30/04/2013to work in a "Project" Mode has something exciting I never found elsewhere during my career! do not hesitate to try it, be part of a team, work to get your project done, from scrap to achievement and be ready for the next one! As Project leader my slogan towards my internal industrial clients is: "You have a problem, then I have a Project!", and to my team: "You have a problem, then you have a job!"

Tuesday 30/04/2013There is no routine to fall into, and when a project finishes you can start with a new one. You also can see what you accomplished when it is done.

Monday 29/04/2013I am a problem solver by nature, so project management is the perfect place for my skillset. Managing a successful project can be like writing a great piece of music-every piece fits and balances for a harmonious end result. Having a client say to me, "I never thought we could make this work, but with your help, we did!" makes all the blood, sweat and tears worth it. I LOVE it!
Jeremie Averous Monday 29/04/2013What I like in projects is that they give a feeling of adventure difficult to find anywhere else.

Monday 29/04/2013Thirst for knowledge helps me to love my job. Even though you have come across any new task, you can complete the task successfully if you have desire to learn.

Tuesday 23/04/2013Each project is Unique and for this reason you can learn every time new things. In each project you work with a different people (collegue or client) from a different culture and with a different approach.

Tuesday 23/04/2013PROJECTS COULD BE JOYFUL IF YOU START YOUR CAREER AT RIGHT PLACE, HAVING THE OPPORTUNITY TO WORK AS A JUNIOR UNDER SUPERVISION OF EXPERIENCED SENIORS WHO ARE WILLING TO TRAIN YOU.
Nilesh Modi Tuesday 23/04/2013The nature, complexity and variety of problems we come across everyday on work...life is full of challanges....and still we enjoy them

Monday 22/04/2013One thing I particularly like about my job is that it fulfills my technical curiosity... I continuously learn new things. On top of that, what I learn is not theoretical but very practical and operational stuff. I love it!
